Any way to turn Incentive TrAAvel Program into a good deal?

http://www.americanairlinesincentivetraavel.com/rate_chart.html seems at first glance to be a reasonably poor deal. But I've never heard anyone talk about it here -- because it's unknown, or because it's a bad deal?

I'm going to call AA later today and verify that the tickets have all the expected restrictions (i.e. the key "no stopovers" restriction that proved problematic for me last week, notwithstanding that award tickets include a stopover). Will post again if I learn anything interesting.
