noBTNN: Gershon Cast For UPN's "The Lot"

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) UPN's drama about young assistants working in Hollywood has found someone to boss them around.Gina Gershon, who's probably best known for her roles in "Bound" and "Showgirls," has signed on to star in "The Lot," about twentysomethings on the lower end of the employment ladder at a movie studio. She'll play a producer and the hard-charging boss of one of the assistants, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Former "Dawson's Creek" writer Dana Baratta penned the pilot, which Joel Silver ("The Matrix," "Veronica Mars") is executive producing. Kelly Overton ("The Ring Two") has also joined the cast.
Gershon's last regular work in a prime-time scripted series was the brief David E. Kelley series "Snoops" in 1999. She was featured in IFC's documentary show "Rocked with Gina Gershon" last year and starred in a comedy pilot for ABC called "Hot Mom" that wasn't picked up. She also does voice work on "The Batman."
Her film credits include "Face/Off," "Driven" and the independent "Prey for Rock & Roll," which she also produced. She has several projects due later this year, including the George Clooney-Matt Damon thriller "Syriana."
