AA Did a nice thing......even when they should have

  • I bought my ticket pre-9/11.

    I bought a coach ticket from MIA-CDG for 11/19 and a return from BRU-ORD-MIA for 11/30. Land at Ohare at 5pm then catch a 8:30pm flight to miami.

    However, the 8:30pm flight is now gone, and AA couldn't get me a legal connection.
    I used miles to upgrade to business in my original trip.

    Last week they moved my return leg from London-MIA and upgraded me to first in the return 777....


  • American has cancelled some routes and eliminated many flights on their remaing routes in response to the current situation(9/11 and its aftermath). This has placed them in quite a quandry as it attempts to reaccomodate ticketed passengers on its existing routes. I'm sure it gets more compicated when you throw in connecting flights and timelines. Cheers to them for doing the right thing and upgrading you to first class. IMHO, nothing else compares to first class on a triple 7. I hope you'll agree.
